Peppergreen Farm Morning Tea and Garden Walk

GreenConnect Bendigo, coordinated by Heathcote Health’s Jade Field, was pleased to welcome several new participants for connection and companionship to our July morning tea at Peppergreen Farm.

On a cold but clear winter’s day, our group of 16 enjoyed friendly conversation with new friends over a delicious morning tea.  GreenConnect can highly recommend the freshly baked scones served with jam and cream at Peppergreen Farm – with the entire batch being served to our table!

Special guests Olivia and Carolyn from Dementia Australia joined us for an informal chat. The participants welcomed the opportunity to ask questions about the wide range of services and assistance offered by Dementia Australia to support those living with dementia and their carers.

Our new participants were pleased to see some familiar faces amongst the group, while new connections were made and phone numbers exchanged.

We then enjoyed a wander around the garden in the winter sunshine, with the rhubarb and winter cabbages looking lovely.  There may also have been a recipe for rhubarb and apple crumble swapped! A lovely morning, spent with new and old friends.
